Disclaimer

Effective Date:March 26, 2025

All educational programs offered by Atlanta College of Liberal Arts and Sciences (ACLAS, "we," "us," or "our") are designed, delivered, and assessed by ACLAS, with validation and quality assurance provided by our international accrediting partners, such as the European Agency for Higher Education Advancement (EAHEA) and the International Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (QAHE). Degrees, diplomas, and certificates are conferred exclusively by ACLAS, a private online higher education institution headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, United States.

About ACLAS

Atlanta College of Liberal Arts and Sciences (ACLAS) is a private, independent online higher education provider incorporated in the United States. Established in Atlanta, Georgia, ACLAS delivers affordable, flexible, and accessible online programs, including degrees, diplomas, and non-degree courses in fields such as business management, economics, technology, and liberal arts. Our innovative educational model prioritizes practical skill development, affordability, and global accessibility, empowering students to succeed in a rapidly evolving professional landscape. Unlike traditional campus-based institutions, ACLAS offers a dynamic, student-centered learning experience tailored to diverse career and personal goals.

For additional information on our privacy policies, please refer to our Privacy Policy page.

ACLAS Disclaimer

ACLAS operates as a private, independent online higher education entity under U.S. law, governed by the laws of the State of Georgia. We do not represent our programs as nationally accredited in the traditional sense, as defined by agencies recognized by the U.S. Department of Education (e.g., regional accreditors like SACSCOC). Nor do we claim to confer academic degrees identical to those awarded by conventional public or private universities in the United States.

Our programs and resulting awards—such as degrees, diplomas, and certificates—are designed for personal enrichment and professional skill development in areas such as leadership, digital innovation, and critical thinking. They are not equivalent to traditional academic credentials offered by conventionally accredited institutions. ACLAS shall not be liable for any losses, damages, or consequences arising from the non-recognition of its credentials by any institution, employer, or authority. Prospective students are strongly encouraged to independently evaluate the suitability of ACLAS programs for their specific educational, professional, or licensure goals prior to enrollment. For guidance, contact our Registrar’s Office at info@aclas.college.

ACLAS Accreditation and Recognition

ACLAS is committed to delivering high-quality online education through partnerships with international accrediting bodies, including:

  • European Agency for Higher Education Advancement (EAHEA): ACLAS received Online Accreditation from EAHEA on February 7, 2025 (Accreditation ID: 25OA0207281, Score: 3.5/4), valid until February 6, 2026, recognizing our performance in administrative responsibility, institutional integrity, and academic quality.
  • International Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (QAHE): ACLAS renewed its QAHE accreditation on February 5, 2025, valid until February 4, 2026, affirming our commitment to international academic excellence.
  • ISO 29995:2021 Certification (via AQS): This certification confirms ACLAS’s adherence to global quality standards in education and learning services.
  • The CPD Certification Service: ACLAS is a CPD-accredited provider for courses in business management and economics, recognized by employers and professional bodies, particularly in the UK and Europe.

These accreditations enhance ACLAS’s global credibility but are not recognized by the U.S. Department of Education or equivalent bodies in other countries. For detailed information, visit our Accreditation page.

ACLAS is actively pursuing additional accreditations in various regions, including different U.S. states, the European Union, and Asia, to enhance the global recognition of our credentials. These processes involve rigorous evaluations and may require extended timelines. Updates on our progress are available on our website.

Please note the following:

  • No Automatic Academic Recognition: ACLAS does not guarantee that its certifications will be accepted by other higher education institutions for credit transfer or further studies. Acceptance is at the discretion of the receiving institution.
  • No Universal Employer Acceptance: ACLAS does not guarantee that its certifications will be recognized by employers—public or private—for hiring, promotion, or other professional purposes. Recognition varies by employer, industry, and jurisdiction.
  • Jurisdictional Verification: Students are responsible for confirming the recognition and applicability of ACLAS credentials in their intended country or region, particularly for professional licensing. Resources such as local education authorities, professional licensing boards, or our partner Qualification Check can assist.

ACLAS shall not be liable for any losses, damages, or consequences resulting from the non-recognition of its credentials in any jurisdiction or context.

Degree Terminology

ACLAS employs academic terminology (e.g., "Master’s," "Doctorate") to denote program levels within our innovative, online education framework. These terms reflect a non-traditional approach and are not intended to imply equivalence to degrees from traditionally accredited universities. We emphasize transparency regarding this distinction to ensure informed decision-making by our students.

International Recognition

ACLAS seeks international accreditations and memberships, such as our Civil Society Registration with the United Nations (UN-704952), to align our programs with global educational standards. Our goal is to provide relevant, high-quality education that equips students for success in an interconnected world. However, the international acceptance of our credentials varies by country, institution, and professional body, and we do not guarantee universal recognition. Students should verify recognition with relevant authorities in their region, such as through our Qualification Check or Apostille Certification services for international use in over 120 Hague Convention countries.

Student Responsibility and Transparency

By enrolling in an ACLAS program, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

  • Verification Duty: You are solely responsible for researching and verifying the applicability of ACLAS certifications to your personal, academic, or professional objectives. ACLAS provides a Certificate Verification page where employers, institutions, and graduates can confirm the authenticity of ACLAS credentials using a unique verification ID (e.g., "1d672b0d-d5d8-43f0-90c3-5ec2f9d433b") printed at the bottom of each certificate. Simply enter the ID and click "Verify Degree" to retrieve the certificate’s status from our secure database.
  • Focus on Skill Development: Our programs prioritize practical knowledge and professional growth, offering skills in fields like business management, economics, and technology, applicable to diverse career paths.
  • Value Proposition: The primary benefit of ACLAS education lies in its affordability, flexibility, and focus on practical skills, equipping students for professional success in a rapidly evolving global economy. For example, our CPD-accredited courses enhance career advancement opportunities, and our Apostille certification simplifies international document authentication.

ACLAS is committed to transparency and provides resources, such as our Qualification Check and Apostille Certification services, to assist with credential verification. However, ultimate responsibility for verifying credential applicability rests with the student. ACLAS complies with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) to safeguard information submitted during verification.

Important Note

ACLAS explicitly states that its programs and certifications are not equivalent to degrees from traditionally accredited universities in the United States or elsewhere. They are designed for personal and professional development purposes and may not be universally recognized by educational institutions, employers, or licensing authorities. ACLAS shall not be liable for any losses, damages, or consequences arising from the non-recognition of its credentials. Enrollment decisions should be made with this understanding in mind. For assistance, contact our Registrar’s Office at info@aclas.college.

Recognition & Use of Qualifications (Important Notice)

ACLAS awards (including degrees, diplomas, certificates, transcripts, and letters of completion) are issued by Atlanta College of Liberal Arts and Sciences as a private online higher education provider.

Acceptance, recognition, evaluation, or equivalency of any ACLAS award is determined solely by the receiving third party (for example: employers, universities, professional or licensing regulators, credential evaluation agencies, and immigration or governmental authorities) in the country or context where the credential is presented.

ACLAS does not make any guarantee that an award will be accepted for any particular purpose, including but not limited to further study, employment, promotion, professional licensure, immigration, visa, or regulatory use.

Prospective students are encouraged to conduct their own due diligence with the relevant organization or authority before enrollment. If you require written confirmation of how an ACLAS credential may be evaluated, please obtain such confirmation directly from the receiving party prior to payment.

Program Purpose

Our programs are designed for professional skill-building, continuing education, and personal development through self-paced online learning. Learners should evaluate program suitability based on their individual goals and the requirements of their intended jurisdiction or industry.

Commitment to Regular Review

ACLAS is committed to reviewing this disclaimer annually or when significant changes occur, such as new accreditations or program updates, to ensure accuracy and relevance. Updates will be posted on our website to keep students and stakeholders informed.

Acceptance of Terms

By enrolling in any ACLAS program, you affirm that you have read, understood, and accepted these terms. This acceptance ensures that your educational and professional expectations align with the unique nature of ACLAS’s offerings. We encourage you to review our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy for a comprehensive understanding of your relationship with ACLAS.
