What to Expect During the Payment Process
When you make payments, whether in full or by installments, you may notice
additional fees on top of your tuition amount. Here’s what you need to know:
1. Payment Processing Fee (6%) (Only Apply to Some Payment Methods)
Some payment gateways, including
Wintopay,
PayPal,
Geoswift, and
Xendit, charge an additional
6% processing fee for each transaction.
- This fee is not charged by ACLAS, but by the third-party payment processor to cover handling and transaction costs.
- If you are paying in installments, the 6% fee will apply to each individual installment payment.
2. Handling Fee ($2 per transaction)
A $2 handling fee is applied to every installment payment, regardless of the payment method used.
- This covers administrative and verification costs for managing multiple transactions.
- Even if you choose a payment method without a 6% processing fee, the $2 handling fee still applies to each installment.
3. Platform Fee Differences
Certain payment methods, such as PayMyTuition, USDT (Tether), Debit/ Credit Cards and Western Union, do not include the 6% processing fee. Choosing these methods can help you avoid additional charges.
